BRIDGET FUNK
Hi I’m Bridget ! I grew in a small town on the east coast of Florida but now live in Boston. I got my BA from Bowdoin College where I majored in Neuroscience and Art History. I also played on the nationally ranked varsity women’s lacrosse team all four years at Bowdoin.
I work at a children’s hospital and have worked as a scribe and surgical/medical assistant in pediatrics. I also am simultaneously studying to go to medical school. I have babysat for families in my home town for nearly 10 years. I am very comfortable with children of any age as well as any special needs of any kind. I have 5+ years of experience as a coach for a special needs workout class, autism surfing course, and special Olympics! Further, I have been a teacher for a special needs art class for the past few years. I have tons of experience with kids and enjoy spending time with them!
In my free time I love reading, arts and crafts, needlepointing, and game nights with friends. My medical background and extensive work with young children with special needs has equipped me with the patients, responsibility, and experience to handle just about any situation. I look forward to working with you and your family!
