Hi! I'm Emma. I'm originally from the Philadelphia area but fell in love with Boston when I studied Human Development at Boston College. I've been babysitting for as long as I can remember. In high school, I was the neighborhood babysitter, working with kids of all ages (as young as 1 and as old as 13) and families of up to four kids. I also spent the summers nannying twin toddlers and their older sister.

 

During college, I worked at a pre-school, mainly in the toddler room. After undergrad, I taught Kindergarten for five years in both New York City and Boston. Although I'm still passionate about working with children, I've recently decided to make a career change and get my masters for Interior Architecture. I'm currently nannying part-time for the cutest 10 month old and looking for occasional weekend babysitting gigs!  I am comfortable with children of all ages.

As a Kindergarten teacher, I learned to set kids up for success by providing clear expectations. I believe in using tons of positive reinforcement when expectations are met. Under this structure, everyone is able to have a lot of fun! I have a warm, caring presence that children and parents both love.
