Hi, I’m Abby! I have been a fifth-grade teacher in Duxbury for nine years. I grew up in Duxbury and now live in Dorchester.  I absolutely love working with children. I have worked in grades 3-5 and I’ve had students with varying needs and special education plans in every single one of my classes. After earning my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Endicott College, I went on to receive my master's in curriculum and instruction.

 

I have been babysitting for over 18 years. I was a full-time summer nanny for a family of four from the time the first child was one until he was 14 years old. As their children have gotten older, they do not need a full-time nanny and I’m looking forward to this opportunity to work with more children. During my time as a full-time summer nanny, I accompanied the family on many overnight trips, watched the children when the parents were away for multiple nights, and planned fun activities to keep the kids entertained all summer as both parents worked full-time. In addition to working with this family of four, I have kept strong relationships with many other families that I have babysit throughout the years. I am comfortable with all age levels from newborn to teenager! 

 

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family, reading, doing yoga, going to the beach, and watching the Patriots! I have lots of availability on the weekends and at night. During the summer, I have more availability on weekdays. I look forward to meeting you and your family!
